and Commonwealth Heath and Safety Representative, Training
Courses will gain additional qualifications!

By completing
our (Work Safety / Heath & Safety) Representative Course
participants also complete five (5) specialist OH&S CORE
units of the BSB30707 Certificate III in Occupational Health
and Safety from the Business Services Training Package BSB07.

The qualification is
primarily targeted to those people who have a role in OH&S
in the workplace, ie Health and Safety Committee Members,
Health and Safety Representatives & Deputy and Safety
Representatives, The course is also highly relevant to OH&S
Coordinators, OH&S Advisors, HR Advisors, Supervisors
and Managers. This qualification is designed for people seeking
to develop skills in the field of Occupational Health and
Safety (hereafter referred to as OH&S) and to provide
an entry point into OH&S studies.
There are no
prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.
Learning Pathways:
Cert III
After successfully
completing the five (5) core units in this course, participants
need only:
BSBOHS306B Contribute to implementing emergency prevention
activities and response procedures
BSBOHS305B Contribute to OH&S issue resolution
And additionally select five (5) elective units
to complete the BSB30707
Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety. Refer to
Qualification Rules ( www.ntis.gov.au
).
Cert IV
Participants may then
undertake the BSB41407 Certificate IV in Occupational Health
and Safety, a qualification that provides a pathway enabling
individuals to use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge
of occupational health and safety in a wide variety of contexts,
or a range of other Certificate IV qualifications.
Other External
Training
Participants may use
the five (5) specialist OH&S CORE units of the BSB30707
to fulfill OH&S Requirements in other vocationally based
training packages provided by other providers.
